Assignment:Under the supervision of the REACH Assessment Officer, the Project Assistants are responsible for an accurate, timely and efficient database of the data collected from the field. The Project Assistants support the team in data entry, data cleaning, and translation, contributing to the REACH Yemen team in terms of delivering high quality outputs. The Project Assistants are also responsible for good organization of archives, the correct data reporting of project achievements, and providing additional support as required to support broader activities conducted by the REACH Initiative.
Functions
- Data processing and management:
- To process data and information from the field – in particular ensure quality, consistency, accuracy, truthfulness, comprehensiveness of all collected data
- To provide accurate and timely English translations of data collected in Arabic (Yemeni colloquial Arabic and Modern Standard Arabic)
- To enter all data and figures as needed into the database in a consistent, accurate and efficient manner
- To contact enumerators and other field staff to check accuracy and consistency of collected data
- To provide translation for focus group discussion transcripts and ad-hoc translation as required
- To provide data outputs upon request
- Project support:
- To support data entry and cleaning as required
- To support data analysis and reporting when called upon
- To provide additional support to assessments and other activities of REACH, including research tasks, and administrative and logistical support as requested
- Reporting / communication
- Communicates with the line manager and relevant staff for any difficulty linked to his/ her tasks and proposes possible solutions
- Respects ACTED security procedures and ensures these procedures are set-up and respected in the site by all ACTED staff members
