١-  Green Center General Manager-Azraq Camp

PURPOSE OF POSITION:
The EU project on “Sustainable Food Security for refugees through environmentally responsible Solid Waste Management (SWM)” is designed to significantly reduce environmental impact of camp based SWM through the development of alternative onsite and offsite uses for produced waste. It is proposed that project will reduce the environmental costs of transporting solid waste and stress placed on local landfills. Sorting and reuse of recyclable materials in the Green Center in Azraq camp will help to reduce the necessity of resource extraction.
The purpose of the position is to ensure the highest standards of environmental safety and operational excellence by effective management of the Green Center’s day-to-day operations - collection, sorting and disposal of the waste in the camp.


Key responsibilities of the post holder:

  • To ensure smooth operation of the Green Center- collection, loading and sorting of SW in the camp and in the Green Center in collaboration of NFI/Log Officers;
  • To ensure SWM standards and regulations are respected/applied for safe and efficient operations;
  • To ensure the cleanliness and maintenance of the Green Center/WVJ assets, equipment and trucks through regular inspections and preventive maintenance;
  • To manage refugees/incentive based volunteers- IBVs and Green Center staff
  • To provide timely and accurate updates and reports on the Green Center activities
  • To monitor and maintain logs/records of recycling materials received in or shipped from the Green Center to processing companies in collaboration with NFI/Log Officers;
  • The position requires ability and willingness to work in Azraq Refugee Camp in the solid waste sorting facility;
  • May be required to work weekends and holidays on a shift

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:


  • Ensure smooth day to day operation of the Green Center, including: collection, loading and sorting of SW in the camp and in the Green Center as per the agreed daily collection schedule and Green Center working hours in close cooperation with NFI/Log Officer;
  • Manage Green Center operational staff –refugees/incentive based volunteers (IBVs) IBVs, cleaners and drivers
  • Establish and maintain a constructive collaboration with the project team and the camp actors
  • Provide required reports (daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly and annual report) on the Green Center operations
  • Any task assigned by the supervisor


KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:


  • Education level should be bachelor’s degree or College Diploma in administration and management
  • At least 2 years of previous experience in large scale operations management
  • Excellent command of oral and written English
  • Willingness to learn fast and work in refugee camp
  • Self-starter and ability to work under pressure
  • Dedicated to the humanitarian cause
  • Managerial experience

٢-  Driver -Azraq Camp

PURPOSE OF POSITION:
This position will support Green Center operations for the EU and WV Deutschland e.V. funded project implemented in Azraq Camp by World Vision International in Jordan.
اهداف الوظيفة:
تم تصميم مشروع الاتحاد الأوروبي حول "الأمن الغذائي المستدام للاجئين من خلال إدارة النفايات الصلبة المسؤولة بيئياً  "للحد بشكل كبير من الأثر البيئي للنفايات الصلبة على أساس المخيمات من خلال تطوير استخدامات بديلة في الموقع وخارج الموقع للنفايات المنتجة. سيعمل هذا المشروع على التقليل من التكاليف البيئية لنقل النفايات الصلبة والضغط على المكبات المحلية. وسيساعد في عملية فرز المواد القابلة لإعادة التدوير وإعادة استخدامها في المركز الأخضر في مخيم الأزرق على تقليل الحاجة إلى استخراج الموارد و االمواد.

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:


  • Ensure daily SW collection in the camp and removal to the designated landfill/other destination assigned by the Supervisor

  • Complete daily inspection of vehicles and notify supervisor immediately of any faults, repairs, problems or other matters concerning vehicle operations which require attention

  • Record details of trucks movement in and outside of the camp as per the required form

  • Establish and maintain a constructive collaboration with the project team and IBVs in the camp and other stakeholders in and outside of the camp
  • Any task assigned by the supervisor

لتاكد من جمع النفايات بشكل يومي و ارسالها الى مكب النفايات المتفق عليه او الى اماكن اخرى بناءاً على توجيهات المشرف 
عمل تقيم و تفتيش يومي للمركبات و اعلام المشرف باي عيب في المركبة او اي اشياء اخرى تتعلق بتشغيل المركبة

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES


  • School Certificate
  • At least 2 years of previous experience as a driver
  • Driving license of 5th of 6th category.  CAR INSURANCE QUOTES PA
  • Willingness to learn fast and work in the refugee camp
  • Self-discipline and ability to work under pressure
  • Dedication to the humanitarian cause
  • Reliability and punctuality
  • Flexibility to work outside normal hours, on holidays and weekends
